The Mission Continues.

A lesson can outlive the person who first taught it.

For centuries, Catholics have answered a call: go where people are, share the faith, and help the next generation learn.

Franciscan missionaries carried the Gospel into communities far from home. Jesuit educators built schools and institutions devoted to faith and learning. Alongside them, generations of sisters, brothers, priests, parents, teachers, and benefactors passed on an inheritance they hoped would endure.

They traveled difficult roads. They opened books. They gathered communities around the work of teaching.

That inheritance has reached us.

Today, a lesson can cross an ocean through an internet connection. A printable activity can help a catechist prepare a class. A parent can find an answer to the question a child asks at the kitchen table.

Through Catholic Online and Your Catholic Voice Foundation, this work is already underway.

Our mission is to provide a free, world-class Catholic education for anyone, anywhere.

Now we invite you to help carry it forward.

A Worldwide Mission. Already at Work.

Behind these numbers are opportunities to learn: a child exploring Scripture, a parent preparing a family activity, a teacher finding a lesson, an adult returning to questions of faith.

Thousands have joined the World Catholic Education Alliance. Our media presence includes more than 8,000 YouTube videos, approximately 3 million Facebook followers, and more than 200,000 Instagram followers.

Together, these educational resources, communities, and channels give the Catholic Mission a foundation for reaching further.

Now It Is Our Turn.

Our generation’s responsibility is to pass on the faith.

Somewhere today, a child will ask, “Who is Jesus?”

A parent will look for help explaining a prayer. A teacher will prepare tomorrow’s lesson. Someone who has been away from the Church will begin searching for a way home.

We want faithful Catholic learning to be within reach at those moments.

The tools available to us are changing. Books, classrooms, printables, video, and digital technology can all serve the same purpose: helping people encounter Jesus Christ and understand the faith.

Pope Leo XIV told Catholic digital missionaries:

“It is not simply a matter of generating content, but of creating an encounter of hearts.”

That is the work before us.

We are inviting Catholics to learn, teach, share, and support a mission that reaches into ordinary life—one lesson, one family, one community at a time.

No Child Should Be Shut Out of Catholic Education.

Help bring learning within reach of more families.

In the early 1960s, nearly 13,000 Catholic schools served more than 5.2 million students across the United States.

In the 2025–2026 school year, 5,829 Catholic schools served approximately 1.67 million students.

The number of schools has fallen by more than half.

For a family facing tuition it cannot afford, or living far from a Catholic school, access to Catholic learning can be difficult. Parents, teachers, and parish catechists also need practical resources they can use with the children already in their care.

Free Catholic courses and downloadable materials can help.

They can support a parish lesson, strengthen learning at home, and give a family a place to begin.

We want Catholic schools to flourish. We also want Catholic learning to reach beyond their walls.

Every child deserves the opportunity to know Jesus Christ.

Help Keep the Next Lesson Free.

WCEA Community Membership is free. Donations are optional.

A free lesson still needs someone to prepare it. A worldwide school still needs people and technology behind it.

Your gift through Catholic Online School’s giving page helps sustain free courses, educational content, and the people and technology that keep those lessons available.

Supporting the School strengthens an essential part of the wider Catholic Mission.

We charge students nothing for our Catholic Online School courses. Generous supporters help keep that door open.

Please consider giving $20 a month, or an amount that is right for you.

A gift of $2.75 a month is welcome. One-time gifts also help.

You may never sit beside the person who learns because of your generosity.

You can still help make that lesson possible.

One Mission. One Foundation.

Powered by Your Catholic Voice Foundation.

Your Catholic Voice Foundation is the nonprofit organization behind The Catholic Mission.

Through Catholic Online and this family of educational, prayer, storytelling, media, and technology initiatives, we work to help people encounter Jesus Christ and grow in the Catholic faith.

Our commitment is to serve faithfully, with Catholic teaching rooted in Sacred Scripture, Sacred Tradition, the Catechism, and the Magisterium.

Our mission brings together the people who learn, the people who teach, and the people whose generosity helps make access possible.

Learners, Families. Teachers & Educators. Catechists. Parishes. Dioceses. Supporters. Each has a part to play.

If you represent a school, parish, diocese, business, or foundation, we welcome a conversation about how your community can participate.

Help us carry useful Catholic learning to the people you serve.
